Kokanee Days to include Raptors & More!
Interpretive Center Staff— 10 August 2010 — in World Center for Birds of Prey Share
GET OUTSIDE Saturday August 14th: Take a road trip with several stops along the way up highway 21 & celebrate Kokanee Outdoor Days, an event to encourage young and old alike to get outside! You and those in your family will be treated to some great sites and learn about things like what makes healthy rivers and forests, how wild Kokanee travel up stream to spawn near Idaho City, where birds of prey nest and hunt, how geology affects wildlife and much more! At the end of the road trip (bus rides available), visit scores of booths at Brogan Park in historic Idaho City. Two raptors from The Peregrine Fund will be in attendence, and we encourage you to enjoy the event with your family. Good eats, a beer garden, kids contests and activities will keep everyone entertained for hours.
